Michael M. Christian, Ph.D., LPC-MHSP, NCC, CSAT
Dr. Michael M. Christian is an author, speaker, professor, and psychotherapist. He is a Licensed Professional Counselor with a Mental Health Service Provision in private practice with offices in Brentwood and Murfreesboro, Tennessee.
Michael is a National Certified Counselor, has advanced training in Mental Health diagnoses, advanced training in Marital Therapy, is a Certified Sex Therapist and a Certified Sexual Addiction Therapist. In addition, Michael has advanced training in Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing (EMDR) and Emotional Focused Therapy. Dr. Christian also has been trained using a Trauma Model with patients who suffer from Post Traumatic Stress and compulsive behaviors. Dr. Christian’s practice provides therapy for individuals, men, women, and couples. Dr. Christian also has a team of therapists who treat children, adolescents and adults.
Michael has earned a Doctoral degree (Ph.D.) in Clinical Counseling from Trevecca Nazarene University; a Master of Arts degree in Counseling from Trevecca Nazarene University and a Master of Divinity degree from The Southern Baptist Theological Seminary in Louisville, Kentucky. Dr. Christian is an Associate Professor in the Graduate Counseling program at Trevecca Nazarene University in Nashville, Tennessee.
Dr. Christian is a member of several professional organizations to include: Chi Sigma Iota, American Association of Christian Counselors, Nashville Area Association of Christian Counselors, American Board of Christian Sex Therapists, and the International Institute for Trauma and Addiction Professionals.
Michael and wife have been married since 1978. They have one daughter, Rachel Christian who is a therapist and practices in the Brentwood area.
